I have been marking some things all semester and I have frequently asked if you guys understand them. I am going to email you guys some notes on Commas; however, my advice for you is to review the following items on your own:
Sentence Errors:
-Active/Passive Voice
-Run-On Sentences
-Comma Splices
-Fragments
-Semicolons
-Commas and Restrictive/Nonrestrictive Elements
-Contractions
-Number agreement
Paragraph Issues:
-Transitions
-Organization
-Tone
Additional Information:
-The Appeals/ Modes of Persuasion
-Paper Formatting
-Works Cited Formatting
Find a way to get the information!
If you bought the suggested text this should be easy, but if you didn't you can still find a way.
<--The Owl link on the side will take you to a site that helps with Works Cited pages, but it also has other resources that you could use as well.
You do not need to do it if you don't want to, and you do not need to write a response, but you should familiarize yourself with this information. I guarantee those that have at least some understanding of this information will have an easier time with English in the future.
